Camping
Mary E Campground (Reserved for TMR Runners)
The Mary E Campground is a USFS campground located 15 minutes down valley from Telluride in Illium. We have been able to reserve the entire campground for only TMR runners and thier friends/family. It is located on the San Miguel River and has 25 tent/trailer/car camping sites available. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Portable toilets and a dumpster are provided. There is no water. Trailers and RVs are allowed but are restricted to those that are no more than 22 feet in length. Dogs must remain on leash at all times within the campground. More info HERE.
*Two vehicles and eight people max per site.
With limited options for camping in the area because of the 2-night concert in town this year, we are trying to maximize the number of TMR campers in this small campground. We are selling each site as a “shared site”. If you have only one vehicle and four people or less in your group, please consider sharing a site with another small group of runners.
If you have more than four people/one vehicle or just want an entire site to yourself, you will need to purchase two of these “shared sites”.
Shared site for Friday and Saturday night- $40
Entire site for Friday and Saturday night (2 shared sites)- $80
Lawson Hill Campground (Tent camping only)
The Lawson Hill campground is a temporary campground constructed for additional camping during the concert weekend. The campground is a few miles down valley at the Lawson Hill Ballfields and is for tent camping only. The majority of the campers here will be attending the nightly concerts. TMR has 100 reserved spots in a designated area separated from the concert goers.
Town Shuttle: A perk of camping at Lawson Hill Campground is access to the shuttle that will run between the campground and town park throughout the day- every 15 minutes. No need to drive into town for the race, just jump on the shuttle that will begin at 4:00am on race morning.
Price: $35 - Total per person for up to 3 nights (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Camping passes are sold per camper, not per campsite.
